IRISH OPEN CONFIRMED FOR KILLARNEY AS RANDLES HOTELS NAMED GOLF HOTEL OF THE YEAR

The 3 Irish Open is confirmed for Killarney in 2010. Killarney Golf & Fishing Club will see it’s Killeen Course host the event from July 29 to August 1.

Killarney’s Randles Hotels were honoured the same week at this year’s 12^th Annual IGTOA “Gala Irish Golf Awards”. The Randles Court Hotel and sister Property The Dromhall Hotel jointly won the prize for Best Large Golf Hotel in Ireland. The gala black tie event is the largest gathering in the Irish golf tourism industry and was attended by the Minister for Arts, Sport & Tourism Mr. Martin Cullen T.D. Other winners on the night included Christy O’Connor Senior, Adare Golf Resort and Old Head of Kinsale.

Susan Randles Director of Sales & Marketing said it was a testament to the excellent facilities available to golfers in Killarney coming in the same week that the Killeen Course at Killarney, Golf and Fishing Club was confirmed as the venue for the 2010 Irish Open.

Killarney Races – Après Race Party – A Sell Out Event

apres races00024 Attendees of the Randles Court Hotels Après Race Party received a welcome respite from the summer showers. As a result after the Killarney Races guests were able to mingle on the Terraced Gardens whilst listening to performances from a Live Jazz Band. Indoors an elaborate buffet supper was enjoyed by all and a pianist entertained in the Drawing Room. Among the well heeled Killarney Race & Race Party attendees were Queen of Fashion winner & Killarney based stylist/milliner Josie McCannon. She was hand selected by judges Andrea Roche & Lisa Fitzpatrick.

The inaugural “Best Dressed Man” Award caused great excitement with the honour being presented to Mr. Jonathan Sheridan who received an overnight stay with Dinner in a luxurious Junior Suite, Massage in Zen Day Spa and Full Suit from Brian James Menswear. The revelry continued on into the early hours. We are delighted with the events success which has sold out four years running.
